The biggest hint being that they said they would not be producing any more PC exclusives. :p

From the Crysis website;

'After this report was filed online, we know there were parts of the Crysis community that were upset to hear we were currently thinking about staying away from developing PC exclusive games. We definitely take note of your concerns and we appreciate each and everyone of you that did purchase Crysis and continue to be an active part of the Crytek and Crysis community.

In terms of development for the consoles, this is certainly a logical step for us with the CryEngine 2 supporting multiplatforms. This is not a decision that was driven by the piracy issues on the PC platform, and this definitely does not mean we will lower the quality of our upcoming PC titles. We are known for our next-gen technology and rest assured that we will continue developing high quality games, and getting the most out of each platform.'

Sounds like he's put the dummy back in then for now. :)

If they have any sense they'll keep the free-form play in any alieny bits. Imagine: Crisis where the latter part of the game doesn't suck!

so going up against gears of war 2 and killzone 2/resistance 2 (im sure one of those two is late 2008 and the other is 09 but I can't remember which) Should be a good time for FPS gamers.

Sounds interesting, certainly better than a return to the island to simply fight aliens over and over. I wonder if they will include Psycho's participation in the Assault levels, and escorting the CIA agent you find in the village on the second level, and such content?

This GFW: Life malarky- does this mean we will have to pay a subscription to play on particular servers?

Edit: just read this- "Do not pay too much attention to the logos such as the "LIVE" logo, since they have been placed for a placeholder purpose and nothing else."
See how that goes.

Killzone 2 is 09'. For now anyway. ;)

The Live stuff will be achievements I'm guessing. I'm sure they'll still let you play on custom servers.

According to the above link (http://crymod.com/thread.php?threadid=29356&sid=6405ebdcb5e5266b41bfaeb90b048e8f)
It will indeed be exclusively PC too.

"Redwood City, Calif. – June 5, 2008 – Maximum freedom, maximum explosions and maximum Psycho! Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) and award-winning independent studio Crytek today announced Crysis Warhead® – the parallel story to Crysis, one of the most critically-acclaimed first person shooters and PC games of 2007. Shipping exclusively for the PC this fall, Crysis Warhead is the first title to be developed at Crytek´s Budapest studio, and is built on a new, enhanced and optimized version of Crytek’s CryENGINE® 2 technology."

The game, opposed to? :p

As opposed to the dog food - Crysis, now with marrowbone jelly! :D

Actually www(dot)crysis(dot)com is one of them cyber squatty ad infested linking portals so I guess Crytek ignored them and went with -thegame.
