Just played it through again after Crysis. Forgot how good it was the difference in AI between the 2 is massive people actually go down when you shoot them in Warhead. :)

Yeah Warhead is brilliant - but why when you see Psycho on the intro blasting Koreans with his Scar using a scope, do you not have the scope any more when you crash-land? :(

Love the vehicles, and using the dual-wield SMG pistols to decimate everything.

Just wish the game was 5x longer :D

well there got a good multiplayer in wars and crytek will be releasing a new game soon the way they keep developing there engines they just want to show off more and more

- Just playing through Crysis on new 2x4890 with Q9550, 4x1066 & really loving it. Played the game soo many times but each time its different...that why Crysis is soo good.

- Running all max @ 1920*1200 (2xAA), natural mod & extreme graphics mod. On some of the bigger levels the fps drops alittle but nothing bad.

- Tempted to play Warhead again but fininsed that around Nov so .. . . . .

- If you can play Crysis/Warhead 'as intended' (i.e solid fps with high (plus) settings) its one of the best first person shooters about.

- Always play it on DELTA, anything less and its soo easy. I always stealth it but when you get cornered and the AI slowly make its way to you its "oh my god, sugar, sugar .. .. er er er wild fire, granade"

I only got Crysis a few weeks ago, so my first time playing was fully patched with a beefy cpu and card behind it, and it blew me away :D

You need to headshot people in the original game.

Crysis is way better than warhead imo. The set peices are way better like the tank battle and the collapsing mountain.

One of my 'oh wow' moments in Crysis was head shotting a soldier with a helmet, and having it knock his helmet off as he kept running. THEN I was able to one-shot him in the head.

Fantastic attention to detail.

I've restarted on Crysis aswell...I am at the part at the cemetery where I have to take out the KPA's with nanosuits on...I was so close last night knocking 3 of them out using strength mode, then the 4th one wouldnt go down and he took me out with one punch...the swine lol :D

but I play Crysis on 1920x1200 with 2xAA on Very High settings...and I can get FPS as high as 44+ which is nice...but yeah headshots are the way forward in Crysis...might have to start Crysis Warhead soon :D

I played Crysis Wars and as much as I enjoyed it, it was just too full of cheaters and hackers so I have left it.

Yeh i too have just started replaying warhead ( and original crysis) on my new card. So amazing to play when it's pretty much buttery smooth and playing at my native res. Lovely stuff :D

Just finally completed warhead..

Oh my god. Those brothers need a medal or something. It is just such a shame that 90% of the gaming community will not see this game. The graphics on this game are earth shatteringly gorgeous. The game is so-so all in the snow levels, then when you go underground and on the train; it switches up into a new level.

I have a PS3 and 360, and I find it REALLY hard to go back to play any game after this, as the graphical fidelity is SO high. The attention to detail is just a generation ahead on this game. I know the new engine is aimed at the consoles, but I think that it is a real shame. Crytek have possibly crafted the ultimate FPS experience, an experience that is so visceral that it makes most FMV seem redundant.

I really hope someone uses the cry engine and makes more FPS games. Even on my 8800 GT I could run it at 1650 x with zero slow down on "Gamer" setting. This is a true testament to programming genius. If anyone has not played this game; buy it now and play till your fingers freeze!

It's such a shame a good portion of the gaming community now jump on the "I don't know what i'm talking about so i'l call it badly coded" bandwagon.. It really is a brilliant game. I had an 8800GT SLI setup at the time and all Enthusiast at 1680 x 1050 (And to be honest 1920 x 1200 for the most part) was an excellent gaming experience.

^^ Good posts. It annoyed me to no end where people slated it saying it was badly programmed. To think its approaching 2 years old now, and I still don't think anything has come close to its level of visuals yet.

Agreed.

Playing it on a single 8800gtx wasnt perfect. But now on the gtx 275 at 1680x1050 , most settings on enthusiast and playing really smoothly it's quite a stunning experience. Playing this on sli'd 275/260's or one of the upcoming g300 at the end of the year would be even more awesome :D.

Just got this, a lot better than Crysis gameplay wise, and runs a lot better to, use the same settings in both, all high, except Shaders, Post Processing and Water Detail which i have on very high (in Warhead highs Gamer, and very highs Enthusiast), and Warhead seems to fly compared for some reason.

Just got off the Sub in the Snow. :p

That's one less 'Cryengine is badly coded' person to deal with!

Those who moan about the engine needs to play Warhead!

I'm replaying Crysis and am constantly surprised by how amazingly good it is. All I remembered form the first time I played it was how poorly it performed (still slows down in areas even now). Warhead was even better in terms of quality.

I presume they're doing a third part, are they?
