Crysis

I got bored of it, it didn't have the sameish type of gameplay as farcry, which I still haven't finished...
Far cry was awesome, this however, wasn't, somehow shooting the Koreans wasn't the same as killing mercs and Trigens in farcry. Farcry is just awesome, I loved the awesome missions where u had to take out the radio jammers on those islands map, or the scary trigen missions where u mostly sticked inside. The game was so hard at some bits but it was so superb and I only stopped coz my hdd with my most recent save died, going to replay the thing soon enough and actually finish the game, as the level design there is still far superior to crisis imo.

.... how are they similair in anyway at all?:confused::confused:

Completely different methods and implemention!

Erm... Well they gave you super strength, super speed and let you turn invisible. You just pressed function keys instead of held down the middle mouse button.

Hey,
Take a look here http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/crysis?q=crysis

@the OP yes it is a great game, that's why is was met with critical acclaim from many, many reviewers. The graphics are defiantly a portion of that though, and the fact that some people will have to run it at lower settings means not everyone experences the game as good as it should be.

Oh and the aliens did ruin the experience a bit, same as farcry. But no reason it can't still be a great game.

not my favourite but definetly a great game (but alien bit was naf - not only aliens are usually rubbish in games generally but mainly it became so linear and lost its main strength, felt like lost planet).

dunno what people want.
++++
It's got the looks, gameplay, vehicles, weapons, freedom to try out different techniques and some really cool physics.
-----
AI was good but nothing special (at least that's how I felt about it) and forget about the aliens.
Story - i kinda lost the plot, i have to admit.
Multiplayer - fun but not brilliant. Think many custom maps can probably make it better.

Conclusion: even if it isn't your favourite or the best, if you like FPS then you have to play it.

Crysis could have been brilliant if it weren't for a couple of issues. I had major battle fatigue for most of the game except for the core. Many people slate this section, I think it was seriously important. Not many games have exploration sections that completely throw you out of your comfort zone. I also had no issue with the aliens, I just wish the paradise lost section was more of an exploration section too, with the threat of aliens always creeping up on you. There should have been more interaction with friendly NPCs too. The reason the game is so short is because it doesn't know how to pace itself. A few new elements should have been thrown in here and there, with steady introductions (see Half Life 2). Oh and the ending was pants.

Not a bad game at all, on my second play though now.
