Crystal Lake

Grew up with the Jason films so I'll be enjoying this! Preferred him to Michael Myers.

The first season of this dropped in full a couple of days back!

I just watched the first episode, surprisingly decent so far so I'll give it a few more and see how it goes.
 
It's more of a Psychological Thriller - albeit with a decent amount of gore.

I really enjoyed it. Linda Cardellini was great as were the supporting cast. Some side quests didn't really pan out to mean much and they took a big swing with Jason which I think will be debated a lot but personally if they are going the
origin
route then I actually thought it was a good attempt and appreciate the effort.

Well worth a watch for me.
 
Binged the whole lot. It is very good, things take a small twist towards the end portion of the show but the story remains strong.

Completely agree, Linda Cardellini and the supporting cast especially the cop Lee were brilliant. The show nails the periods in which it is set perfectly. There is gore there but that is to be expected and this isn't jump scare horror or anything like that.

If you love the films then this will suit you just fine. Overall this is a top notch production.

I had zero expectations going into this, didn't really know what to expect.

Very much enjoyed it, I'll echo the above regarding the cast doing a fantastic job.

I especially liked the colour grading of the show, gave it that wonderful 70's/80's vibe rather than everything being dull and static the way modern media tends to be.

Finished it last night and have to agree.

Think the scientific route works just as well or maybe even better than the supernatural for why Jason is hard/impossible to kill.

Loved spotting all the easter eggs like the shot for shots etc, some of the twists worked well, like
who killed the original pair of counselors
... Linda Cardellina was the highlight, sadly the more it went on, the more it started to go downhill.

3/5 for the whole thing
