Crystaldiskinfo....what does it mean?

I've recently taken a Crucial SSD out of my dad's PC because the OS started exhibiting some problems in terms of searching for and opening files and folders etc and so I've done a fresh install on a bigger capacity SanDisk SSD.

However, before I did so I ran Crystaldiskinfo and it popped up saying the drive was at 96% (whereas the SanDisk was coming up at 100%)

Now I've got no way of knowing whether it was the drive that was/is faulty but I'm hoping it's fixed the problem nonetheless!

My question is, what does 96% actually mean in terms of the quality/stability of the drive?

Should be fine at 96 mate thats only 4 percent less than new so nothing to worry about

This was my first instinct too but then it got me to thinking about how these scores are determined - I mean I can't say for absolute certainty that the drive was the cause of the issues but the fact that his system went pear-shaped AND the drive reported less than 100% has made me wonder!

I don't know how they're determined but wouldn't have thought it was drive causing issue to be honest could have been a conflict or some sort of malware or just a dodgy Windows update
