Hi when i use benchmark my new ssd with this program if i try and load anything the system hangs for 30-seconds ish is this normal?

Is this because the system is using all the ssd read write usage while running?

The nature of a benchmark is to stress the storage system ... so it's not surprising other apps on your system are slow whilst it runs.
Trying to do anything else whilst the bench is running will lower the results anyway, just leave it alone until it finishes.

Yes, you are (ideally) not supposed to do anything while benchmarks are running
