CS:GO

CS:GO is more of a strategy and a team based game. Being more competitive than other FPS' this is where the fun is, if you don't like being competitive then the game isn't probably for you! :)

It is an extremely fun game to me, I tend to play it all of the time! :)

I don't think I have the reflexes any more that I did 10 years ago to play something like this and be anything but fodder.

I'm 42 and have really bad reflex and aim, but just love the team based play.
If you get get together with 4 mates and play this no other fps game compares.
Very steep learning curve. But there is so much training help on youtube, reddit etc.

I love it and keep coming back for more. As a long time player of CS, I was a bit hesitant about getting CS:GO at first but now I really appreciate the competitive mode, also how easy it is to get into a game and start playing. My advice to new players, is stick with casual till you are comfortable with aiming and get to know the maps. Recommend teaming up with a group of friends/people you know when playing competitive.

I've never bothered with skins/boxes and given everything away. I couldn't care less about them tbh though others seem to like them more than the game itself so I guess its down to personal preference.

It's a great game, The knifes + gun skins you see on the marketplace are just cosmetics, They only make your guns and knifes look different.

Be warned though the community is toxic as can be.

Not as toxic as League of Legends ranked. No way. But CSGO has voice comms so it may appear more toxic, but people do and say the most spiteful things in LoL.

£200 for a SKIN? are people crazy or what.

this is why i sell anything of value on the market place, i don't play it for the skins etc and i don't open any cases as they just sit in my inventory when they get to a point where they are not worth selling.

so far through selling skins that have dropped in csgo i have bought the following two games

killing floor 2 @ 19.99
Lego Worlds @ 11.99

also use the funds to buy the missions when a new operation comes out as well.

got about £16 left in my wallet on steam and haven't put any funds in to my steam wallet

May be worth playing against bots for a little while first if you do get it, just until you're used to the game mechanics, weapons, and how to shoot effectively.

Never really got into CS:GO all that much, although I used to play CS back in the day quite a bit, mostly 1.6 and later CS:Source.
