Hi there,

So my rig should have no issue running CS-GO at 300FPS.

1440P resolution, i7 7700K, 16GB RAM, 980Ti.

The weird thing is the game feels a stuttery mess however when someone skypes me it goes buttery smooth as I'd expect any ideas?

Not sure, have you got the GPU in "performance mode"? Check the nVidia control panel, mine had to be changed to it manually. Download CPU-Z and see if the clocks are correct and not going into power saving mode, the way you describe it sounds like a setting that needs to be changed. Windows Power Management in Performance mode too?

High Performance is definitely ticked.

Clocks for CPU are fine.

My 3D settings is "Let the 3D application Decide"

Should I tick "Use my preference emphasizing performance?"

I have a fairly similar build and have no problems at all running at 300fps. Strange.

Yeah try that, "power management mode" - Prefer Maximum Performance which is under 3D settings.
