The wonders of hindsight. He's attempted to help, and paid the price. It's nice to hear people are actually still willing to help.jdickerson said:He didn't help though. Companies have insurance... the guards wouldn't've been shot.. It is a tragic shame.

I meant had he not have interfered it wouldn't've been a big deal... no one would have died and companies have insurance.JRS said:Where was it said that the guards were shot? I've only seen it mentioned that he was shot in the chest.

At Rayleigh railway station in Essex he saw a male and female security guard struggling with two men.
Thats my view on things like this is someone has me at gunpoint and demands something i know is insured they can have it, yea they might shoot me anyway but theres less chance than if id fought them.jdickerson said:I meant had he not have interfered it wouldn't've been a big deal... no one would have died and companies have insurance.

That's just sensationalist crap tacked on to make the guy sound ever more heroic. Security guards are trained to comply with all demands in cases of robbery. They weren't "struggling" with the armed robbers regardless of what the article states... seriously, who "struggles" with armed assailants when it's not even your money they're after.MNuTz said:There is just as much chance that one of the guards would have been shot, they where struggling with the men after all.

The funniest thing is this thread thoWhenever anyone goes crazy with a gun, the press are usually quick to blame video and computer games for the young person's violence.
