CSS and headshots

I'd say thats way too much, i use 1800.. default is 1200..

I don't think it actually matters when you get past a certain number. 10000 or 25000 it will be the same. I just use 25000 as it's the first number I ever typed in, lol.

TBH, I really dont think its worth even playing CSS now as a noob. It'll take you years to get to the standard most others are.

Go play a newer game, where there are still new people like yourself to kill.

Nah, we have some quite recent players in our clan, and they get better as they play. Its all down to the person. Plenty of noobs in CSS.

Personally, i use 3750 as my crosshair scale. It depends on what resolution you play at. I run 1680x1050

Not really tbh, plenty of new people are playing all the time. I see loads of 8 digit, 15mill accounts about nowadays.

If you have the right guidance it is fairly easy to pick up. Playing against people afterall is always going to be harder than AI.

Besides I've heard 1.6 is a lot worse for this, because of the style of play and community that surround it :<

Once you get the hang of it, you become hooked. Well not quite literally like WOW :p

It depends what servers you play on. My clan run a gungame, and any people whoare even suspected of hacking are watched demo'd, and then banned if cought hacking. Most of the time our public notifies us, be it on our TeamSpeak, XFire, or just ingame. You have to be pretty quick, if in doubt, just shoot them, half of the time you arent even aiming for their head, the guns recoil gets the headshot. Strafing helps, as well as firing no more than 3 shots at time. Gungame is the best way to learn all the guns, as you have to use them all. It teaches the weakness and strengths of each class. Play gungame long enough, and normal css doesnt stand a chance . . . . ;)

Your certainly get good with nades quick :P

Very true, im a knife king . . . Knifed some poor guy 5 rounds in a row. I did feel a bit sorry for him tbh. Coz in GunGame you lose a level . . .

Always keep your crosshair at head hight, you number of head shots an kills will go up dramatically, why is it a lot of new players always look at the ground/ feet area?

(an if spraying with m4 aim for their feet ;) )

I play at that resolution and cant do distance aiming with normal guns as i can hardly even see anyone. For instance say im up at A and someones at long a in the pit i can't see them at all :o I also have to change the colour of my crosshair depending on what map i play on. I have to use bold blue for dust's and bright yellow for aztec otherwise i cant see where i'm aming :D

do you have the quake "humlation" sound aswell :p

This is what competitive CSS is like :p

Speaking as an experienced player myself, it takes a long time to get good. To get off those quick shots you need to know the map (know where people likely to be), tuning up your aim by getting used to your sensitivity, and have good sound to hear where people are so you can be ready to blast them as soon as they come round the corner. Thats just some of the things mind.

You just need to be more cautious when playing CSS, its not like your average MP game where you can run around like a headless chicken and not get shot.

I'm like a die hard SOF2 MP fan, been playing it for years..only recently started giving CS:S time of day, well the difference in the way you have to aim is just crazy. But I'm slowly getting used to it and now and again get a pretty good ratio :p learning curve is pretty steep if you ask me, as said before map knowledge is the key, learn and you'll kill!
