CSS - Image in a block of text?

Imagine I have a content block running down the screen. I want to insert pictures in to this block, but want the text to wrap around it.
Is such a thing possible?

Partly, yes. The CSS float property was designed for this purpose. See: http://css.maxdesign.com.au/floatutorial/. However, you may only float left and right, you can't place an image in the middle of the block of text and have the text float around it on both sides (as you have with the right-hand image on your graphic).

Next question, scrolling a page while keeping the background image in place... or having a scrollbar on a single element of your CSS page.

background-attachment: fixed; (not supported in IE6).

Set a fixed height, and give the element overflow: scroll; or overflow: auto;.

I assume just use margins and float:left / float:right for each one..
