CSS Maps - where are the classics?

I have been scouting the internet trying to find if anyone has recreated some of the classic CS maps in CSS. I'm really looking for OilRig and Vertigo as I loved those maps on the original Counter-Strike.

Anyone know if they are out there?

Also I have recently found a map called de_alivemetal which I really like, it's like an old fashioned western town. Any other good maps which you like playing?

Oilrig was my favourite also. However it's really annoying but it's all about Dust and Dust2 now. I hate them.

Office and Assualt are my two favs. Never played the two you are talking about tho. If you find dedicated servers, fire up the ip.

Vertigo was set at the top of a 'partially built' skyscraper, but it was taken off servers after 911 as terrorists and skyscrapers in a game was maybe a bit insensitive at the time. It's been long enough now though to see a rivival of one of the all time classic CS maps imo.

Someone must have remade surely, it was such a popular map!

Have you tried any of the 'extended' maps? cs_office_extended is pretty cool if you like Office.

Oilrig rings a bell, but I dont remember playing on it... No idea why they kept piranesai (however its spelt) completely random map tbh.

Yeh that's a pretty balls map. I like de_cpl_mill, de_nuke, de_season. I hate de_train, jesus that map is hard to play on.

This thread is bringing back some excellent memories, vegas & the airport ones are another couple of brilliant maps which I totally forgot about - can't remember what the airport one was called though?

Aye that was back when i started playing. Oilrig, jail, 747, backalley. Brilliant maps. such a shame they aint played any more

I loved this map when it first came out them they change something (cant remember what) and it was never the same

de_vertigo_css_day is out there and its an exact replica of the old vertigo, bloody good map. ive also played an oilrig version but didnt quite take to it, but it is out there.
