CSS problem on Steam.

I just decided to get steam again after wiping my PC a while ago. It's foinished downloading and it says its installed but when i start it up it gets to the load screen then says 'Engine Error' and won't come up.

Any ideas guys?

have you installed the latest directx drivers? also try installing different graphics drivers and if that dont work set -dxlevel 81 in the css launch options

Been through my CSS folder and cant find ant launch options, please can you tell me where to find them?

Tried 'Verifiy integrity of game cache'?

right click game, properties, local files

on steam my games right click css then properties

Tried the above, still same problem, i've also re-downloaded the game.

Hahaha, i've fixed it. I had to disable friends :S? So i'm guessing something in Steam is corrupt?

You tried uninstalling/re-installing steam? (backing up your steamapps folder 1st)
