CSS update!

Is it just me but i just updated my counterstrike through steam and it has royally screwed my game up.

I cant join my favourite's due to "illegal aliases" and gun game doesnt give me any weapons!

Steam sucks is anyone else having this problem!

yup, loads fo problems here. gungame surely will have to be patched to work. we'll just have to wait, really.

I've just been playing gungame without a problem, although there were two or three players in the game floating around in the crucifix position.

Am I right in thinking that in gungame you just have to say (using 'y') either of the following to stop doing a Jesus Christ impression....

"!start"
"!give"

Maybe wrong but has always worked for me when I have no gun (Only VERY few occasions might I add)

Either type cl_restrict_server_commands 0 in console or add it to your config and it will stop the illegal aliases error and should make gun game work.

"!give" rarely works after the update

Well I can say that this time round the steam update has actually fixed something for me. Since the update with the dynamic weapon priceing I couldn't run a listen server, the video stress test or the audio speaker test without getting a "memory could not be read" error. Its now sorted.

It's finally fixed? Horay! I can map again without having to unplug my LAN cable!

Unplug your internet and run it in offline mode worked for me.
