I have CSS but have only played it a couple of times, i liked it but didn't like they way you have too wait for the last person to die before playing again. Is this the same on every server?

If I want to play proper CSS I go on any of the Teeside servers, good pings and quite good people. Deathmatch is all well and good for a laugh, but its not proper CSS.
 
I agree with you about deathmatch, but he doesn't want proper CSS - he said he doesn't like having to wait until the last person dies. So his best option is to look out some deathmatch servers.
 
UKCS.net servers

213.228.232.27:27015 - 64 Player
213.228.232.222:27015 - 46 Player

Large CSS servers with lots of custom maps and a good mix of skill in the players. It's mostly a fun server with decent community.

TnP clan server

87.117.201.193:28010 - 20 Player iirc + AWP enabled.

One of my mates clan and general no-nonsense server.

My uni course have our own server, it's fun to play with people you know IRL. We often get about 12 people on at once, which isn't bad for people you actually know.
 
I played a lot of Gungame mod on a German server (the next cigarette, I believe it was called) earlier this year.

I used to play on Teeside until I was banned for saying "poo". Literally, not any of the word's ruder variations.
 
To the guy that mentioned teeside - i play there on the occasion. Play as .eGO! or .eDawg.

The teeside servers have gone downhill massively imho - terrible lag / warping, no awps...

I'd recommend (no ip's yet - in work atm - will add later)

Aerelon - Dust 2 24/7
Aerelon UK

Both great servers - 18 and 16 player max, very good players for pubs, awps allowed, majority of the people are mature, and nice long map times.

Also worth a mention is BingoBongo - awpless unfortunately, but certainly the best non-awp server i've played on - top people, good community, good map selection.

Also worth a shout are the "Dumber servers" - quite a few - D2 24/7, office 24/7 and standard map rotation ones - 40 player cap, awps etc

shame eKC is empty nowdays.


Anyways, would definately recommend the two aerelon ones if you're semi-decent and like the ability to use awp's
 
I've used the Aerelon servers before, I would agree they are better than most.
I would also recommend the [IOA] Servers pretty similar to the Aerelon in terms of skill level.
 
I play in the EvilTwin UK Public 66 tick server IP 82.71.218.106:27015
Mainly because it's generaly quiet in there and rounds are over fast and as I have only been playing a few days I like to get straight back into the next round to get the practice up.

One question though people, how do you disarm the bomb? Can only 1 member of the CT's disarm it or can anyone do it? (yes im that new to CS:S)

Actually if you try and do all you can to stay alive and take down as many people as you can in those servers, its a great way to get your aim up to scratch! :)

face it at close proximity to it and hold 'e' (use key) down until the progress bar completes.

AND BUY A KIT!

Do you not get bored out of your mind playing the same map over and over?
