Early next year.

No one has pics, only pics of the US Si model, which isn't the right car.

If you want rumours I can give you rumours all day long. Anything from 200bhp to 300bhp with FWD, RWD and AWD being mentioned.

Personally I think 200 - 220bhp, FWD. If 200bhp then expect no LSD, if 220 + it'll come with LSD for sure.

That's the mechanical thing, not the drug. Unfortunately.

Just to clarify - the car will be unveilled very soon, but not available till early 07.

Car mag quoted 250hp for the new CTR. Whether that's accurate is another matter altogether.

easilly possible, s2000 being 245bhp. it will be 2.0l FWD non turbo between 200-250 bhp and look like a space ship.

Assuming it will use the K20 engine it's really unlikely the car will come out with any more than 220/230bhp. Barring use of highly agressive cams, the engine simply can't make 250bhp without decent induction and a decat (high spec manifold & cat back), this creates noise, a lot noise.

The only thing you can absolutely bank on is that the UK/EU/AUS DM cars will not have the same power of the JDM model.

I still say 200 - 220bhp, Honda are smart - they can keep the peak bhp of that car sensible (for fuel, insurance, traction and emmissions reasons) and play around with giving it a serious mid-range and the usual top end by simply allowing the vtec magic to happen at 5,000rpm.

Has anyone got a link to the picture of that Civic Mugen that was posted a few weeks ago? I think that's what it was called, had red lines around the tyres.

That was the mugen dominator. A modified version of the civic si done by mugen.
The type r will be unveiled at the geneva motoshow and will apparently be built in swindon with a january 07 release.

The facts for the new CTR - It will feature a 2.2 litre VTEC engine with the same power as the current model (197bhp) but it will have more torque. Due for a UK release in Autumn 2006.
