Cuba

that's mine :p

but yea, a very nice place, very hot, lots of funky wildlife that you'll notice around, just don't go expecting atv holiday brochure setting, very nice, but when you see how they live, you'll realise how much better you have it really

Went there for a day too, did the speedboat thing, was awesome!

Have a look on trip advisor. Iberostar Varadero is the highest rated by visitors. Think you can go with Thompson and Thomas Cook there

That's where we went for our holiday in 2009 - absolutely loved it.
It's a great hotel with excellent facilities and the staff are all very friendly. The "star friends" that work there go out clubbing pretty much every night so if you want to experience the night life then take a trip out to Varadero wit them. Alternatively you can stay at the hotel and drink in the all inclusive bars and watch the evening shows which are pretty good, especially the dancers.

If you do end up there please say hello to my Cuban wife, Mary (one of the star friends). ;) I'm actually planning a return visit to Cuba for a couple of weeks to go travelling around the island with her!

We've stayed in Iberostars every year for the last 8 years and this is the second best one I've been to only beaten by the Iberostar Paraiso Maya in Mexico - however that was brand new and very expensive when we were there.

realised my girlfriend of the time, wasn't the one for me there, was awesome :D :p

but swam with dolphins, lots of snorkelling, didn't drink much as alcohol in that climate pretty much destroyed me after one or two >.<

but definitely reccommend it

Didn't he and Castro fall out? Hence his trips to Africa and South America. ;)

Sort of, but Castro still ranked him as one of his best right hand men. Castro liked him enough for the CIA to get revenge upon Castro by cutting up Guevaras body into lots of pieces so there couldn't be a shrine.
