CUDA enabled technology,

Ive just read a little bit about this, allowing the GPU to work as another processor is great but what difference would we actually see?
 
good for super computers, such as weather predictions or finding cures for dieses.

or for personal uses - such as converting dvd rip into a compressed format
 
I use badaboom video converter with my Nvidia card. Its actually very nice, converts video files for use on my iphone several times faster than my (admittedly fast) CPU could.

I believe many other Computationally intensive tasks are being brought over to the GPU as there is so much power available from modern cards. That said, I wouldn't expect many to be using CUDA (at least I hope not), because CUDA is proprietary Nvidia technology, unlike OpenCL or DirectCompute.
