Anyone see this tonight? Absolutely brilliant. :D It's a spoof history documentary filled with interesting facts but mostly hilarious one liners from Philomena Cunk. I never appreciated Diane Morgan as a comedian in the past but now I see how funny she is, I'm a fan. It's mostly scripted by Charlie Brooker. There's some genuine laugh out loud moments, not least of which are the brilliantly awkward Borat type interviews. Definitely recommended viewing. Half hour episodes, four more to come.

caught the ass end of this, where she was going on about Henry VIII (think in next weeks show).

Always liked PC since she was on weekly wipe, will be iplayering on my lunch tomorrow.

Did anyone else watch The Archiveologists which was on BBC recently? Very very short spoofs of old 70's public information films done by Diane Morgan and Joe Wilkinson. Very typical of the Cunk dead pan style although not playing as Cunk in these. They basically voice over old films with suitably hilarious incongruous commentary. Got virtually no marketing so not surprised if no one has seen it. Some of the episodes should still be on iPlayer but you will have to be quick.

Thanks, just watched them, there's 3 episodes available. Not bad, the first one has some funny bits in the housewife sketch :D but the rest are a bit meh.

The library one, which was the first in the series, was probably the best one of the five. I am a sucker for spoof archive film or fake voice overs in general. Adam and Joe did one called Shock Video which was a laugh.

I watched this last night on catch up and was giggling all the way through. The weakest bits are when speaking to the experts, they can be a bit hit and miss and remind me of when Ali G could be gold or just fall flat.

The scripted bits though when she is just walking about are brilliant. It must be hugely fun writing this program.

Found it boring, predictable and just a little tedious. A few bits were Ali G cringe wearthy but thats about it.

"It's just like being there, but in wool."

Love it because I have a sense of humour.
