Curious issues and Event log

oh ok, assumed it might get some droop as the cpu does but i guess its negligible.

Yep, still errors with 1.15v

not enough cpu voltage those are

you'll find you'll need a lot more voltage to eliminate them

just up cpu voltage two or three clicks a time, and play a game for few minutes then check in event viewer, rinse and repeat till no more errors

no no,you don't need that much, thats just the upmost limit for high overclocks

what does auto cpu voltage use? you might need around 1.25v to 1.3v for 3.8ghz it depends on each chip, some need more some less

I only need 1.38v for 4.8ghz 3770k

I just wanted to see if it would clear the messages.

It hasnt. Even at 1.4 Vcore im still getting all the same error messages.

Now trying 1.3Vcore. Still the same error.

I know im being a little hammer fisted with my approach to core voltage but given that i have now tested 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 volts it seems odd that i have not found a situation that fixes it.

idk what it could be other than cpu voltage,i get them with not enough, soon as I up voltage they go

tried with just one ram stick? test all sticks one at a time

If only access to memory was that simple. Darn heatsink makes it impossible to get to them. Will have to do that another time. probably tomorrow.

Thanks for all your help.

As wazza said, I would have one memory stick in there and rotate them out. Could eventually lead to a dodgy motherboard or if your lucky a stick of RAM. Strange event logs though if it is memory related.

Ok, so after a few days i have reseated with a different heat sink, tested the ram with memtest86 and still having the same issues. Bit late now but will try with individual sticks of ram tomorrow (despite no memory errors)

I have watched that video. I can see how it applies but the issue is slightly different so although i understand that its related i cant see what i can do with that information.

Also. No, it does not change frequency when stressed. sits at the same clock speed all of the time; stressing, gaming, at desktop.

If it's only been occurring since the Motherboard RMA; I would complain to MSI that the motherboard issue which caused the RMA also permanently damaged your CPU and see what they say.
