Curious...

The price for the new COD will be $/£5 more expensive on next gen consoles
*edit* Although, love it or hate it, COD is one of the better value games out there. You get the campaign, MP and Zombies included. All with free DLC now.

In the past, I could have easily justified £70 on COD at release. I would have easy got my monies worth.

Now I prefer slower paced, single player games but, the value proposition isn't there without multiplayer.

I actually don't mind the model that f2p games like Apex and Fortnite use. I have bought all 6 Apex seasons for £7.99 so around £47 total but I have played the game for hundreds of hours (possibly 1000+ by now) so to me that is more than good value. I've bought a few loot boxes but mostly I just ignore micro transactions and just enjoy what I get from levelling and seasons. SBMM system wrecks me at times but I don't mind it too much I just try to enjoy it.

Shop around like normal and the games will be available for similar prices to this gen I would imagine. Or ill wait for a digital sale, easy.

With regard to the price hike it looks like getting the game on disc will only be £5 more (that was looking at the new COD and NBA21). So if digital is £10 more then they're just screwing over people who buy digital.

that is more difficult when Sony/Microsoft controls all the store pricing. Even now you see much older games at stupid prices.
