Who can say no to that?

I am definatly thinking of one of these to replace the mondeo in a couple of years, does anyone have any experience with these? Are they any good or is the phaeton a better bet?

03 plate 730d seem to go for around 25k or slightly less, thing is a brand new phaeton (stupid move) is around 25k so in a few years time they will be even less,
the other options are A8 or 5 series, thing is the 5 series isnt big enough :/

Beautiful cars, i want one more and more every time i see one. A consideration in a few years almost certainly but i couldnt justify the running costs at the moment with the milage i do.

There is a problem also in that the new A8's are stunning too. I truely do not know which i would go for, i'd be sure to make sure i had a decent amount of driving experience in them both before purchasing either.

2.5 years should be enough I guess, also I will go for a diesel :D

this is the old one but I guess when I consider buying I will be looking at the facelift as prices should have dropped.
Its not really that ugly, it looks meaner than the new one anyways :D

its bloated :)
its bigger, more space, nicer looking interior, dont know how it is though.

The 7 has a nicer interior than the E39? Have you banged your head or something? It's possibly even worse than the current 5 series inards; and if you get an early one you will probably end up with the MKI iDrivel which is guaranteed to make you swear at it at least once a day.

Bleurgh :)

that doesnt look extra special either really.
The 7 series looks so much more couch like with that huuge armrest.

For the last three days I have had the pleasure of being a passanger in a new 55 plate 730d sport. And it is awesome, the ride is firm but pleasent. The fittings and materials are all good, and the engine is superb. Very handsome it is to.

The looks of the new bmw's still haven't grown on me. I'd much rather have one of the older ones to waft around in

Meh. While I accept that they are supremely competent in nearly all respects, they just do nothing for me.

awesome car, it may not turn too many heads but once you drive one you know why people with too much money drive one. Also the comments about the facelift are true, if you can stretch to one of those then do, also try and stretch to a bigger engine if poss.

On looks alone, I'd be buying an A8 or an S-class over the BM. It's just too ugly and bulbous for me. Curves in all the wrong places.

Now the E38, that was a handsome car :D.

They have a huge road presence. Everyone I have seen driving them looks ridiculouslysmall sat in the huge space in the cockpit!

Lovely jubbly :D

Whilst I hate the looks of the E60, find the new 3 series bland and the 1 series odd, I rather like the pre-facelifted 7 series.
I wouldn't claim it's pretty, but then it's never been. I do think it has massive road presence and rather like that part of it.

That would be the new 5, which I said was aweful too :)

Sat in the driving seat of the new M5 the other week and I was truly shocked at how bad the interior was, both in design and quality.
