shouldn't, but do all the time
They said it wasn't a hack though.
are you that guy on LinkedIn that says all ATC failures are down to an insecure DNS and spams this post every time any issues at an airport is identified in the media?I wonder if this could be a foreign enemy hack? If so it would not be the first time hackers have attacked another nations infrastructure or part of it.
IF it is, it represents a serious and concerning willingness to go further and is a very worrying thing to have happened .. IF IT IS?
If its just sheer incompetence on our part too, then thats bad too, of course, but hope we learn the truth.
No lifes were lost, but I guess millions of pounds were with grounded flights and suchlike while they were figuring out the problem and of course a fair bit of Travel confidence too Airway wise here ... this has got to sting.
Hope its not as serious as a hack ... but we live in strange times.
wow you found the secret hack that nobody wanted you to know.Love your innocence ,,, guffaw
Never worked in IT have you?I’m not an expert in such things, but IT systems shouldn’t fall over because of poorly formatted data being entered.
Never seen a DNS server fall over due to the use of a comma?I’m not an expert in such things, but IT systems shouldn’t fall over because of poorly formatted data being entered.

Someone somewhere thinking "Changing this field in excel to a slightly different name or format won't break anything" and then the whole world comes tumbling down.
They also ran out of rows in excel for track and trace didn't they? It's a lot more common than most people think, systems that you'd think are all high tech with multiple fail overs hinging on someone putting the right character in the right place.Happened with the government COVID data website at one point during the pandemic.
