Thinking of improving my Curriculum Vitae by starting from scratch as I am currently being made redundant! So I need to get my act together and get job searching as hard as it's going to be in this day and age.

Does anyone have any examples or templates I could possibly take a look at and get a positive idea of moving forward, also would their be any tips on creating a professional looking CV which will stand out and appeal to most employers?

Many thanks to anyone willing to input and help me out here!

tbh it doesn't have to be all "the same serious and all" my brother went mad with his included images etc and got the job first time

When I went for my most recent interview I learned something important.
Small font
2 Pages at most

This (unless it's for a job in academia where 3 pages is okay [the third page should only be a list of publications]). Just remember that if you are running out of space increase the page margins :p

CV Rebuild

Hope OP doesnt mind.

This is the current layout of my CV

At present, my CV is made up of two pages (I'd like to keep it that way). Today a recruiter suggested I clearly display my skill-set. Now rather than just attaching it to the existing layout, I'd prefer to remove or move some areas of the doc.

I want to move the Normal Job sections to the Early Background section and reduce the Normal Job details to just one line (currently made up of one or two small paragraphs).

Feedback and further suggestions much appreciated.
