Custom Cable Sleeves

Hope this is the right section.

What type of comb is best, the half open type or the enclosed "stealth" type? I haven't worked with them before and the stealth type appear to be a bit permanent so wondering if they're a better option?

Stealth work best in my opinion, but obviously require you to be able to install them. Make sure you get the right width whatever you choose as my first ones were far too loose.

I was thinking 3mm sleeve for 24pin and PCI cables etc and that would require 3mm combs?

Sounds about right. Test it before you fit the cable and if it's too loose then bunch the sleeve a little tighter.

I'm going to leave the combs for now and braid some cable to see how it goes. Could someone with experience in this have a little look over my basket? I'm looking to sleeve the PCI-E connector first. I've chosen a new plug as the SF plugs are hideous red and blue. It'll be a black and white theme, with the white cables finished with black shrink and vice versa.
