What case are you cooling in and what is the budget?

For the price of 250, you could spec a much better performing loop, as there is a lot of cash being splashed on one of the priciest pumps and the loop is about as small as you can get.

D5 pump money would be better spent on more rad for max performance in this sort of size loop.

The case is a Corsair 550D, hence the rad, yes could use a 240 but I do not want to open the side and top panels.

Budget, I have said before I did not have one but ideally no more then £250-300 as it is just a cpu loop for now, although open to any suggestions, I am looking for max cooling performance and silence and if that cost a bit extra then so be it, I am a first timer in water cooling and just fancy getting in to it in general.
All I have to my name so far is a hell of a lot of research, itching to see water flowing around in tubes lol.

I was looking at the XSPC X2O 75 that come with the kits but liked the idea of the stronger D5

If you can work out a way to efficiently fill/bleed without -bay res solutions tend to be a bit noisier than a pump top/res (or no res) solutions.

Save money with the 4.0 EK pump, it is plenty powerful enough to deal with the loop even if you decide to expand. New ones also have speed control.

More pump power doesn't mean better temps.
