Hi guys, refreshing my custom loop to add in my 7970.

I would like to just make sure what I have in mind is correct and I have not made any mistakes.

So what I have for the loop is:

Dual Pump/Dual bay reservoir >> Tube reservoir >> 7970 >> CPU >> 360 Radiator >> Dual Pump/Dual bay reservoir.

Previously I have had seperate pump/res and the pump has always had to be lower than the res. Guess this doesn't matter in the setup above?

Would adding in an extra reservoir, purely for cosmetic reasons effect the loop?

Looking to add another rad in the near future...

Thanks for your time!

Having the tube reservoir after the pump will be a bad idea. You pump will be needing to work much harder to shift the coolant around the loop. If you can at least shift the extra tube res after the radiator that would be better.

Do you really need both? I can't see any real gain to both to be honest with you.

Thanks guys. I will most likely not bother with the tube res and save it for something else! Going to have till wait till Monday for it all to be put together now though as I seem to have tubing that doesn't work with my current fittings...so long without PC...

Having put everything together now and putting the fluid in. Its almost impossible to see the water actually flowing around, unlike my previous loop where it was easy to see the fluid making its way around the loop. I assume it must be as I've put around 1L into the reservoir...

Does anyone know of any tips to confirm that its actually flowing correctly?
Thanks
