high guys am building a table pc desk and looking for 4 reservoirs and 2 pumps am thinking of these xspc ion reservoir.
but can they be lay horizontal ?

can anyone help or if they have any others in mind.

Yes they can be, i used the version with the included pump although running that horizontal resulted in a horrible noise but the res on it's own should be fine.

thanks for the pictures.
there is so many to choose from i don't know what to do.
this is going to big water cooling system and before he can start making the table i need to buy everything.

perhaps Khemist's metal tubing and limited space caused the pump to make things vibrate?

If you have plenty of room just make sure you use some sort of dampening pad (sponge) under the Ion pump/reservoir.

I've just taken my GPU apart for example, I nudged the pump against my radiator and the vibrations were BAD, nudged it off and silence!

(it sits loosely, for now, on a piece of sponge that I cut from the packaging my watercooling gear came in).

think am just going to fit
D5 Photon 270 Reservoir / Pump Combo V2
its burning my head out on this i have bought 2 rads that are different sizes and messed that up also.

if the rad size difference is just an aesthetic problem then they'll probably covered in fans anyway so no one will know.

I believe that's a great pump and a nice sized res, go for it.

I'm baffled too, been researching for about a week now on what to do with my CPU loop, there's so many options but I want the right one!

the thing is i wanted 4 res and 2 pumps like the photo above.
time is running out i wanted start having desk made in 2 weeks.
i have been looking on and off for over a year and still no idea.

Isn't more than one reservoir just a waste of cooling liquid?

If you need 2 pumps to power the cooling loop/s you could either buy 2 pumps to hide somewhere in the desk or buy 2 of those D5 with reservoirs that you suggested as the D5s are round so look a part of the reservoir, very tidy.

Is that picture the one you've found that you're going to base your desk on? If not try drawing something up.
