Custom PC choice

Compatability issues only really come up with the mother board. The only other thing is that your PSU needs to be powerful enough to power everything. You can bottleneck parts of your build if you have e.g. a top GPU and old CPU, but with the 650w 80+ and i5 2500 that shouldn't be an issue.

If you were to self build, you could probably downgrade the case and with the money saved, upgrade the GPU to something nicer. But I'm a) not the best person to ask and b) on an iPad so anything other than posting is a pain and can't really look easily.

Buy the gear I listed, it all works and is compatible. You will have a better PC within the budget you listed including a monitor etc.
 
If you have a friend who can help you build then go with what stulid suggested, it is far better than any of the things you posted.
