Anyone have any experience with a company to do silly size picture frames?

I have to find a frame for the below:

http://shop.nationalgeographic.com/...cal-map--earth-toned---enlarged-and-laminated

It's size is 1860mm x 1220mm... I'd like a natural wood look. But also a sturdy construction as the size will make it... Flimsy.

It will be hung up on a wall so at least a sturdy wire is required as it will run over 2 hanging hooks.

Why not try a local art shop that does framing at least then you will know what you'll be getting?

Don't know any. There are a couple of sites, but most charge several hundred! I'm 100% sure I found a site a while back for about £70... But I simply can't find it :(

Several hundred sounds normal, I went bespoke for a wooden frame at around the size of a 40" TV, it's about £200, granted I picked glass instead of plastic which is more expensive.

When I lived in Bristol, I just went to an independent picture framing place on the local high street. Frame was approx 50x50cm and cost a little shy of £50, for oak.

I would imagine such places exist elsewhere.

I've used these loads of times before. They always do a spot on job and are quite cheap in comparison to other framers.
I know they don't advertise frames on their site, but I know for a fact they will be more than happy to build you a frame and send it to you.

I just paid £130 for a custom frame from a local shop with two mounts (to box the piccy). Was a similar size to yours so I guess you are looking at £200 or less.

I've used http://www.fastframes.co.uk/ before for my oversized panorama photo. 1800 x 600mm. The frame was about 110quid but there are limits on the size depending on the frame width etc but the people there will advise accordingly.

Not only do you need a frame, but you're going to want to dry mount it too, otherwise it'll look crap and wavvy, assuming its a poster?

To finish it off, you should apply at least one, preferably two cut mats, and mount it. Not going to be cheap, but custom framing never is.
