We're about to have our en suite refitted, its sort of in the roof so there's a pitch to the ceiling and we'd like to move the vanity into one end of it.. ideally to fit the space exactly.

Wow thats hard to explain lol.. like this..

My question is when looking for custom width stuff I immediately hit mad expensive stuff, are there any tips for doing this sort of thing and it not costing over £2k or is that basically the cost of having custom?

You could build the frame yourself and source a marble sink from somewhere, then build the cabinets.

Or pay through your arse for someone to make and fit it for you...

Half and half perhaps? Find a pre built unit as close to your dimensions as possible. Pack out to fit and then build fascia/draw/door fronts to suit.

If you dont need draws or cupboards then its even more straight forward. Framing, surface and fascia.

I cant tell if you need a surface also or if thats being accomodated seperately. Should be relatively straight forward to source seperately though. Free standing sinks are easy and need not form part of a prebuilt system.

Fully custom unit from these guys will not cost too much

then have someone make a top for it and find a counter top sink you like

Cabinet will be most expensive. Can get corian or something similar made to measure cheaper. It’s much more common because it’s the same as kitchen tops and they’re pretty much all made to measure.

Cutwrights
You could use a service like this if you know all the sizez? I've used them twice to get panels cut and they've been great.
First job was lacquered wood cut for a hallway cupboard, second job is about 150 cuts individual cuts for a primed wardrobe.

But I guess I'd have to design it?
Yep
I have the information of someone I used to design a TV bench for me previously, but the last two times I just worked it through with my carpenter and we did the design together
