I think that means that the company that is sending you the item have entered it online (IE they have entered that you're parcel has been packed and is ready to be picked up)

So it's most likely sitting in a warehouse waiting for the driver to pick it up.

We use the DPD at work, I helped setup the system but can't say I've used it for months so I maybe wrong about that.
