Above all things, it's mounting mechanism.
I absolutely love EK's easymount system which stops you over tightening, on the other hand I despise the raystorm mounts which allow you to crack the plexiglass clamp plate.
Oh and leave enough room between the ports for larger compression rings
This + performance, are the most important to me. Good looking block is a bonus.

i had one of them, easily the best block i have ever owned. especially with the chrome plated mounting bracket

Orville is fine, he just likes the warmth. During the summer he hangs onto the front.
Thing is with CPU blocks and most other waterblocks is they photograph terribly. My block looks awful in pictures but once in the build surrounded by everything else it looks fine.
Having just built my first loop,when it came to the Block my main concern was build quality and compatibility so that it can lost a long time across many different sockets.
One of the reasons i opted for a supremecy EVO over the Cheaper LTX was the inclusion of mounting backplates ect and thermal compound in the box.Nice not to have get multiple different items for mounting ect.

Having totally stuffed a board up by overtightening an AIO cooler CPU head, saving 10 or 20 quid on the block is immaterial when its £150 for the board.
Running a GPU only loop and an AIO for the CPU at the moment. At some stage I will bin the AIO and plumb the CPU into the main loop, but "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" is ruling my thoughts at the moment.
Personally not bothered on bling looks as the PC is under the desk, but I appreciate its a big concern for others.
Be interested in the country of origin as well. I like to "buy local", but there's no UK manufacturers of these, EK in Slovenia is as good as it gets.

Price, mounting mechanism and consistency of TIM spread, aesthetics and performance within a few ºC of contemporary blocks irrespective of socket type. Since aesthetics are personal, I would like to see options being provided- plexi, metal, delrin/POM/acetal etc as possible. Make sure the basics are ticked- metal jetplate, proper Buna-N O-ring (or similar quality), ports far away enough to accommodate average sized 1/2" x 3/4" barbs/compression fittings. Provided thermal paste ends up being a bigger factor in thermal performance anyway so have a decent TIM in the package too.

It is something that I am unable to share at the moment.
I have a few more refinements I would like to be made really as the first sample is very early on in the development and needs much more work.
The mounting hardware is my main concern and something that has been confirmed from feedback in this thread. Which is why having the feedback on here was important for me.
I will say two things.
I am impressed by the performance given the simplicity of the design.
I think the simplicity of the product makes it stand out but it is too early too say about final finish etc
Plexi first and foremost, but not just for looking cool, the CPU block is the most restrictive part of a loop so if the is ever an issue with contamination/plasticizer it will show up on the jet plate before anywhere else (including most filters) and a plexi block lets you spot it early.
Cooling performance is important but not massively relevant anymore, by that I mean that block evolution has plateaued compared to 5 years ago or more and the difference between the best EK/XSCP/Koolance/Swiftech/etc blocks is pretty negligible.
Price is also important but as this is something you only buy twice a decade (or perhaps once now due to performance plateauing) it's something you can afford to splash on.
Mounting mechanism is another big point, I wish somebody would release a block with push in mounting like a stock Intel cooler so we didn't have to fiddle around with none X79/99 boards, I know they can be a tad easy to break sometimes so make them replaceable like the mounts for Corsair/Asetek AIO's.

Well of course, I figured this was way early in the development cycle if you are getting user feedback now. I like that this is actually happening at all and it was interesting to see so many people have similar priorities in order.

potentially, but its not being designed to be the ultimate performance solution, its designed to hit a budget but not look like it has if that makes sense.
simplicity and the aesthetic is where i provided reference from.
i sort of dont see the point in overcomplicating a design for the sake of it. my primary concern is having something that appeals to the most people possible.
performance and looks good enough to draw in enthusiasts, but simple enough to be affordable and easy to use for a newcomer.
Price and performance, don't waste my money on aesthetics its not like a car or bike where you can show it off as you drive it.

Im new to the game, and will e getting my first custom loop soon ( or I hope soon ) so I am watching this thread. Already have a few ideas from this thread that should prove useful.
