CV Check please

Please don't apostrophise plurals if you want your CV to be taken seriously. :)

It really can—and does—make people think less of you (and with good reason).

For a creative job (animation or otherwise) I'd be more interested in seeing a strong portfolio/showreel, rather than just a decent looking CV :)

I realise this, but im workin on the CV for now. The portfolio will be brushed up on next. :)

Is this a big no no? It seems a shame to leave out helf my A-levels because they're D. I would agree if they were any lower, but a D is still a pass.

A–Level’s Computer Science B
10 GCSE's

:)

Also, I'd remove the hyperlinks from the word document at the top (email and web address). Leave the actual addresses there, just don't have them as actual hyperlinks, as they're of no use when the thing's actually printed out (and keeps formatting consistent).

I also think there should be a few paragraphs of actual writing in there, rather than just a big list split into sections. Makes it easier to read and slightly less impersonal.

I am a hard working, dedicated and ambitious person, having taken on a large
amount of responsibilities and roles beyond those in the job description of my
current job. I believe I am very well suited for this vacancy due to a
combination of my education, skills, experience and interests.
I am passionate about technology such as computers and audio visual equipment,
not only in work, but also in my hobbies and interests. Because of my interest in
IT and art, I have a wide range of skills and knowledge of both software and
hardware and have the ability pick up new skills very quickly.

I am passionate about all technology such as computers and audio visual equipment, not only in my work, but also during my free time. In additon, I believe my interest in both IT and Art have helped me develop a wide range of skills and knowledge of both software and hardware and helped me gain the ability to learn new skills very quickly.

Quick and dirty. Any better or am I to sleepy to make sense?

I'd take this bit out personally; it's vague and doesn't add a lot to it. Also, a CV should really be about you rather than the job you're applying for; it's your personal profile and should be applicable to any job.

There are some good tips regarding writing CVs and job applications here:

I think the biggest problem with CVs is that they are too generic. I am this, I am that, I can do this, I can do that.

Focus more on what you have achieved, what you aim to achieve and skills you have developed. Even stuff about yourself and what you get up to in your life.

I am a hard working, dedicated and ambitious person, I am capable of taking on considerable responsibilities and adapting within my roles to undertake tasks above and beyond those detailed in my the job description as and when required. Like what and when?
I believe I am particularly suited to this vacancy due to the combination of my education, skills, experience and interests. I am passionate about all technology such as computers and audio visual equipment, not only in my work, but also during my free time. So what exactly do you get up to with this technology?
In additon, I believe my interest in both IT and Art have helped me develop a wide range of skills and knowledge of both software and hardware and helped me gain the ability to learn new skills very quickly. How have they helped you?
I see scarce detail and effort, which will reflect the job given. If I link up what you have said with your Education and previous employment I would see you know your way around your computer so that is neccassary IT skills. I see animation and computers as your strong point only. From your employment you are prepared to work in a variety of positions, basically whatever pays and keeps you.

Hope that helps if you wanted more detail on improving! :)

Could I ask why have you moved jobs so much? Boredom or is it just not you when you work there?

Thanks. I'll work some of those ideas in tomorrow. Brains a bit tired for it now. As for the Jobs, I havent really moved around much at all. If you look at the dates, the cleaning job was when I was at college to earn a bit of extra cash. The Press operator job was in my year out of uni as it was impossible to find anything relevant to my degree, and I wanted to earn some cash to pay a bit of debt off. Then the temp jobs were after I graduated while I was looking for a more suitable job. I would class my current job as my first 'Proper' job. Having said that, working in a factory taught me the lesson of an honest days work. I used to literally come home with my hands cut to pieces, and covered in head to toe in oil.
