CV help

I need to write a CV for a work placement that I want to appply for. Ive never written one before so though I would look at some templates on the internet. My problem is deciding which one to use.

I'm sure lots of people here have experience in writing CV's, so any imput on which template to follow would be great.

After working for 3 months at an IT Recruitment firm, I would not recommend just sticking to one template. Look around on the internet and get ideas from templates, but I would suggest you make your own.

It should be a maximum of 2 pages, and all relevant information should stand out. The key areas to focus on are your previous work experiences and your skills (leadership, management, communication, team work). Your personality should show in your CV, so mention any extra activities and teams you have been part of at school or university etc.

If anyone else has a good eye for CV's it would be very much appreciated if you could give me some feedback.

Click the Trust button in the bottom right of one of my posts and all the details should be in there

Also, if you don't want me to know, make sure you remove your name, address, telephone number etc

That would be the LEAST of your problems if you have never written a CV before.

Target the CV to the placement.

Style
- Use 1 font throughout the CV, with no more than 2 different text sizes, 1 for headings, one for body text.
- Don't put CV, or Curriculum Vitae, as the header. Put your name.
- Don't cram too much info on each page

Content
- Name, Personal Statement, Jobs/work experience in declining order, Professional skills, Education, Hobbies, References (no relatives, and put people over 18).
