CV Support/help needed (Many thanks in advance)

Um. You don't have an education yet. Perhaps it would be worth trying to pass A levels (or GCSEs for that matter :( ) before attending a University?

I am on my way towards achieving a grade B in GCSE English. I may just about retake my GCSE Mathematics in order to get it to at least a B.

A Levels are pointless (to me). I'm doing a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT (Networking/Systems Support route) due to the course being more detailed and less likeliness of failing.

I am thinking of going to university in another country, such Sweden or Finland so I will need to get some sort of formal paid work experience down on my CV.

Why? I'd have thought A-levels would help at least as much as a part time job if your goal is to go to uni.

University needs GCSEs, BTEC Level 3 Extended Diplomas, A Levels, etc. Depending on the choice of course between the student and their future. I'm working towards D*D*D* (A*A*A*) in my BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT (18 Units at grade A hopefully, which is 3 A Levels/equivalent at A*A*A*) . Additionally, on the plus side my college tutors are suggesting to put me in for a special Microsoft Certificate equivalent to a City and Guilds or even higher due to it being more professional. I don't know the specific name of the qualification though. I think it is "Microsoft Professional/Specialist Certificate".

3 A Levels are the average which the UK student achieves and come to think of it not may students pass them at their expected levels. A Levels are for people who master everything a A and A* (with a few B's) at school. My school for me was a nightmare, constantly having supply teachers, teacher changes and the school having the inability to keep the teaching to a standard level. I used to teach myself things instead using the internet and it gradually helped because I'm on my way towards getting a grade B in English (hopefully).

your profile could use some fleshing out. For example something like this maybe.

I am a highly motivated reliable and analytical individual with excellent interpersonal skills, which have helped me achieve success in my career to date. I’m proactive and confident in my own ability, an adept problem solver fully capable of using my own initiative to solve complex problems, but also happy working as an effective member of a team. Determination, patience and consideration for others help me provide excellent levels of customer service. I have a wide range of skills ranging from Information Technology to Communication. With a high regard to customer care I am always willing to learn new skills and adapt to changing environments. I am now looking for a new opportunity within BLAH BLAH BLAH where I will be able to build upon the knowledge and customer service skills I have developed….

I'd put key skills after work experience, i'd also flesh out all the bullet points for each job for example

  • responsible for supporting students in several classes
  • providing IT Support to a range of users
  • responsible for diagnosing a range of hardware and software faults
  • supported teachers in various areas

Pretty rough but you get the idea, nobody wants to read a wall of text bullet points are better.

these are some retail ones I did for a friend, got him 2 job interviews last week.

  • Responsible for manning the customer service desk
  • Assisting customer queries including product support and stock replenishment
  • When necessary, being able to give in-depth technical advice about products
  • Providing customer support
  • Adhering to targets
  • Operating the till and handling cash
