Hi everyone,
Can anyone answer me this as i cant find a clear answer on the XDA forums:
The Apps2SD feature in Cyanogenmod appears to be 'different' to the one that requires a SDCard partition.
Is that right?
Is it basically identical to what's already in Froyo, as in, only certain apps can be moved to SD?

Thanks in advance all. :).

i'll take a wild guess

internal = phone memory, external = sd card (not ext), auto = let the app decide?
But why have the option of those in the menu's as thats no different than usual surely...? Cant find nout documented on it at all.

Was all set to use Cyanogenmod as my primary ROM as it seemed nice and easy with no faffing. But now im having second thoughts. :(.

Because by default in FroYo you can't choose where to have apps installed, simple as that, it's just making available an option that's normally hidden.
And if you're looking to move to a non "official" ROM you can't go wrong really with CM.

Right, so setting it to 'external' will force the apps+their data, to save to the memory card instead? Without having to faff with SD Card partitions?

Yes, from memory that's correct, although I believe some apps cannot be moved.

However, any widgets you have on the SD card will stop running when you dismount the card (i.e. plug the phone into your PC to copy stuff across).

Using Apps2SD+ gets round this problem with the EXT partition for apps (and is why I use it).

Are there any simple Apps2SD+ installers that doesnt require me to faff?
IE; just an app installer?
