I think he explained the need for the .com by saying that they were looking to branch out globally or something, and so would no longer be 'UK-only'.
Correct, Have a gold star !

That's the thing, you don't need to justify it, if you had got the domain first and then an American Webmart wanted it it would be tough cheese, because you got there first. Except you didn't and someone else registered it before you, so it's hard cheese for you.![]()
Not quite that simple. Just getting something first, doesn't mean you have a total right to it.
In this specific case though, Booner's company will have to pay up or blow it out their **** tbh, because the guy has every right to own and keep that domain.

No, but if you have a proper use for it you'd have a strong case![]()
My god what an awful website.
Would it be mean to inform iStockPhoto that their images are being used for commercial purposes without payment?

Looks a little better, but you've undermined your argument that you deserve the domain this guy owns by not keeping your own, similar URL'd page up to date.
You have a use for yours, for all you know he has a use for his.
As an aside, why have you skewed the left-hand side of the page like that? Looks rubbish, as does the gradient from (it looks to me) yellow to white.
It isn't brilliant, but it is better than the other page. That isn't the most glowing praise.
