*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

I only played it once and that was on release. Also played the expansion once.

It just is not calling me play again. Something hollow about the game. Loved it on release and great for first playthrough, but they did not do enough for repeat gameplay. Forvme anyway.

Might play it again at some point, just not anytime soon

TBH I am playing it for the expansion (but not skipping right to it), all the story stuff was top notch from memory, the side stuff is hit or miss really, a lot of filler but some good stuff you can find off the beaten path left in journals and stuff.

But I know from your bare bones BG3 play through, man doesn't stop to read anything that isn't the main quest :D

Only mods I'm using (dependencies excluded) are Nova City 2 (custom weathering and lighting) and the HD reworked project ultra quality.

It's one of the best games ever, never understand when people say this game is shallow etc. it's incredibly deep with various play styles, crafting, skill tree, great side stories (that are better than a lot of main game stories) and a huge interesting world to explore. Even on my first playthrough on launch with a vega 56, I didn't encounter any serious bugs and likewise on my second playthrough with the 3080.

On a slightly separate note somewhat related in the same sense, I have noticed some people saying gaming is terrible and shallow now, all just pretty visuals yet we have had some of the best games ever in the last few years, people seem to think games were better before RT/PT :o Arguably it was worse, a lot worse, had some long periods where gaming was dry with **** all to play.

Agree thoroughly.

Mind you it's easy to miss the depth if you don't care to invest time and interest into it. Once you do you start to see how far some of the tendrils go.

I feel it's subjective re depth. Like I wouldn't say it's shallow but I wouldn't call it incredibly deep at all.
And that's fine, not everything has to be incredibly deep to be enjoyable. Also a lot of stuff was aded after people already played it so that may have had an impact.

I'm sure everyone has their own subjective yardstick for measuring such things.

I'm currently trying it with 4x fg but I think I'm going to have to disable it again because I'm getting pop in (not sure if that's related but it seems to be random objects) but the visual artefacts annoy me when I'm not in combat.

Also, I guess it's nice that my PC isnt kicking out loads of heat but then it is a bit nippy right now :)

Yup it's nothing like KCD 2 for example in terms of "deepness" (which is good imo, utter borefest that, just like the first one). A lot of people seem to think the game is just a pretty nvidia PT showcase though, which it is far from.

FG x3 is the sweetspot for most games, 4x does work well but you need the base fps to be about 70/80, that and a 240hz monitor to see/get the most out of 4x.

I'll try that thanks. Worst is flickering UI elements, But again, when I'm in combat and everything's going fast I am not noticing these things. It's when I'm going about exploring and suddenly a bin pops in or something.

I don't recall seeing a three times option, so I'm guessing it's something I need to force through the Nvidia app or something, or maybe it was and I just didn't notice

There definitely is a 3x option.

Game assets popping up will be down to the game, sadly, that is cp 2077 main drawback, draw distance.

I recall there was something weird where there was like a big industrial fan very far away on a building and it looked absolutely terrible and then I moved one step forward, and suddenly it rendered properly but you could get between the two states
