Hi, i have the ram in my sig currently running at 1600mhz with timings of 6-6-6-24-1T. Now my query is how do i know if the cycle time is causing errors as i have read if its set to low it can cause errors in windows but not fatal one (BSODs). I had it down at 18 before i found this out and it passed prime tests.

in the good old days, on socket A boards i used to tune tras using memtest,
starting at the lowest it boots, run mumtest and check for bandwidth reported, then increment slowly untill you can see the maximum bandwidth. presumably, below this point = errors, and above = wasted cycles.

i also recall a rule along the lines of x+x+x = tras eg 2-2-2-x x=6, 3-3-3-x x=9 but i dunno how accurate either of these are.
tbh tho, in real world you wont see any difference so long as its in the not bsod/hanging zone
