I don't ride dangerously so why should I have to take a test, when ***** on BMX ride on the wrong side of the road?

^ In both cases your mode of transport has a engine. A bicycle does not.
Blame schools for not teaching road sense, not other road users. Cycling was taught in our school.
A road users awareness course or something. Ive seen lots of cycles doing dangerous things lately, it's worrying.
What about when you theoretically wobble out from behind something while I'm passing you at a much, much higher speed than you, swerve to avoid you and crash into a petrol tanker parked outside an orphanage?
I'm possibly overplaying that a touch, but you get my drift, I do think there should be more of a test than the Cycling Proficiency Test.
Then perhaps you should give the cyclist more room whilst over taking? It says so in the highway code. If you "swerve" around a cyclist it shows your driving style. Irresponsible.
How will this test stop me hopping onto the pavement at a junction when the lights are red?![]()
I used to cycle a lot, and you do have to ride like a bit of a **** just to get around safely, being on a pushbike leaves you open to being purposely ignored, intimidated, and bullied, and I do think you sometimes have to ride really quite aggressively just to secure your place on the road and keep it.
On the other hand, a lot of cyclists, including me when I rode a pushbike a lot, do just ride like aggy ****s!
Yes cyclists have to be assertive on the road, otherwise car drivers try and push you out of the way. Ie if you ride on the yellow lines when they pass you give you 1' between you and the car...ride 1-1.5" from the yellow line and they wait behind you until the opposite road is clear for them to pass.
Are you denying the tendency of cyclists to suddenly appear from nowhere and dart out into moving traffic with no regard for anyone's safety including their own?
Admit it, there's no middle ground.
On a pushbike, you either ride like Granny Smith and never get anywhere, or you get places by being a ruthless, suicidal, law-breaking, red-light jumping, pedestrian harassing pedal-powered missile.
I like to just gently clip you guys with my mirrors as I go past.
Keep you on your toes and that

Absolute rubbish. The former is kids on BMX's not proper road wise cyclists. More stereotyping eh? All Muslims are terrorists, and all that...![]()
