Looking forward to seeing Chris Froome going for gold in the men's road race today (13:30 - 20:15). Hopefully we'll see a medal from him or one of the strong GB team.

Anyone been watching the Men's cycling race? Its bizarre the way there are literally no barriers between the cyclers and the people watching. people are literally swarming around the bikes and running alongside waving flags when they go through crowded areas. Its insane. There should be barriers up or police keeping the crowds at bay.

Going to be a close finish. Nibali's in a good position but Majka looks like he's got plenty in the tank.

I've been watching the Women's cycling race, missed only the first few minutes of it when I left work. Been watching it on my phone. Now I'm home I'm watching the race on TV and the swimming on PC.

I think I must have missed a few minutes of action when I switched from the phone to the TV. What happened to the woman who was leading the pack for a major part of the start of the race? She seems to have disappeared.

Amazing the difference in pace between the peloton and the lead pack in the woman's road race.

The problem here is that lots of the big teams (italy, netherlands, germany) have a rider in the front group so the rest of the team wont help the peloton chase that group down - not a great situation for Team GB.
It'll be interesting to see what happens on the climb.

She's back in the main bunch now.
