how that was reported in France, as opposed to biassed interpretation on BBC eg Radio4 today

While it was careless of Cavendish it would have been harsh to disqualify him and the French swimmer was actually shoving the other competitor out of the way. They're not quite comparable as events but that is at least as biased as the BBC articles, just in a different way.

Another exceptional set of performances by Laura Trott, the rest weren't even close.

Great performances as well by Katy Marchant and Becky James to win the bronze and silver respectively. Vogel was just a bit too good but it was close all the same.

C'mon Kenny now.

That previous omniom winner who is a commentator, looks nuts. Shes not but she doesn't know how to look at the camera between segments and is staring at it. Lol.

It's those eyes of hers that make you wonder what comes next. :D

I'm hoping this wasn't Kenny who caused the infringement - it looked fractional but obviously rules have to be followed. As the commentators are saying the Derny bike did seem a bit slow to leave the track.

It's pretty difficult to judge who started the sprint but do they just take it as the foremost wheel as they go past the Derny bike? If that's the case then it's almost a disadvantage to be quick accelerating but I think it looked marginally like Kenny's wheel was slightly ahead.
