hey,
The psu for my DI-604 cable router died reciently, and I either need a replacement psu, or a new router alltogether (whichever is cheapest)

I would like to spend roughly £20, I would prefer to stick with D-Link, and it doesn't need to be a wireless router since I have an access point.

Alternatively, the psu must be at least 2000mA (2a) and 5v DC. I have tried various other psu plugs, and the router works for about 5 mins, then it continously restarts (overheating I would presume)

any help would be appreciated :)

2 amps is fairly high for cheap psu's. Have you tried an electronics supplier with red logo?

They have a product for £26.99 called the worldwide AC/DC mains adaptor which is able to produce 3600mA at 5 volts so has more than enough overhead. There is a cheaper product which puts out a max of 2000mA, but thats at maximum and not much cop.
