I just bought a few bits and pieces for an upgrade which arrived today. Moving from skt939 which is watercooled using a Dangerden block and ordered the Fuzion V2 to cool my Q6600 on an Abit IP35 Pro.
Here's the thing. My current setup uses 1/2 inch tubing. On the product description page it says...
"Pre-Installed Chrome Plated 1/2" or 3/8" Hi-Flow Hose barbs included."
Now looking at the barbs they seem to be 3/8. Anyone else ordered one of these lately? Was there an option I missed when ordering for 1/2" or should I have ordered some extra barbs too?

On a related note. Installing on the motherboard. I take it I should be using the black stick-on back plate for the skt775 rather than the silver bracket that also comes in the box. Or should I?

Now you have me worried  SHould I have got a black stick on plate or silver bracket with my motherboard?

Just noticed I went from almost the same setup as yours to almost the same new one. It's going to rock you!

Can't wait to get it all up and running. :D Planned to connect the the block tonight and leak test it for a day or so. That's why I was wondering about the barb size.

a day or so! I leek tested mine for an hour. However I was using 7/16" tube on 1/2" barbs plus jubilee clips for added security and Feser One so was confident after an hour it wasn't going to leak ;)

When you get it up and running let me know your temps. Interesting to see how the cpu blocks compare.

Ended up getting out the measuring tape and having an quick check.
The internal diameter of the barb on the block is 3/8" while the internal diameter of my tubing is 1/2"
No setting up the new machine for a couple of days then. :(

Ordered my V2 only a few days ago along with a packet of 6 1/2" barbs and 6 1/2" squeeze clips.
V2 turned up with the 1/2" barbs already installed.
No idea whether anyone put them on for me at the shop knowing I was (and had ordered) 1/2" hose at the same time.

As for the leak checking Pah !
Put a safety pin in the ATX connector block to bridge the two relevant pins, then realised the pump output was the 7v 3 pin on the motherboard so just powering up the PSU wasn't going to work..
So gave the hoses a tug, shrugged my shoulders, put the ATX plug back in the motherboard and hit the power on button with clenched buttocks. :D

Err shouldn't you have been measuring the external diameter of the barb compared to the internal of the tubing???????

Hmmmm. That kinda makes sense. I'm still confused. Ended up ordering a pair of 1/2" barbs just in case.
Has anyone installed one of these blocks recently?
