D1 entitlement

if you have manual car license as from the 10th April if you pass D/D1 in an auto you'll automatically get a manual license in those categories.
good luck with the theory and hazard perception side of things that's where most people fail as its way more stricter than car/bike. the cpc side of things is quite easy from memory its just 35 hours of making sure you take it in.

I've had to pass 4 of the Police theory tests since I got my licence which are also much harder, so I hope that shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Reading up on the CPC, I'm not sure if I need to take it as I think I fall under this exemption:

You don’t need Driver CPC if the vehicle you drive is:
used by, or is under the control of, the armed forces, civil defence, the fire service and forces responsible for maintaining public order

I think I'll need to talk to Driver Standards dept to clarify that.

Pretty sure your excluded from the CPC tbh, but, check as you say!!

Not that it's anything useful tbh (I've just completed my CPC) your sat in a classroom and told how to suck eggs effectively!

I know of one chap who's got his by sitting the same module five times!

Basically, the CPC is something that makes the transport industry look good and it keeps countless beaurocratical types in a job at our expense.

My course cost was iirc ~ £350ish but, my employer paid for mine.
