I'm almost back:)...Got my D200 body ordered from (oops! I forgot mentioning competitors was naughty;)) today (~3400 actuations, just a snip over £500!) Cheapo 18-55mm D40 kit lens for the learning meantime (again, bargains, much cheapness!). Only 29 days left till the 18-200mm VR... Picked up a 4GB ExtremeIII CF card as well.

There are a few things I'm looking forward to over my old D80, mirror lockup being one of them. The feel of magnesium alloy under fingers rather than plastic is another....

Hopefully being showing some more of my pics by the end of the weekend!!!

it's a lovely body, but you'll be needing batteries, batteries and more batteries! I moved from a D70, and the difference in build quality is immense.

seriously, get some batteries.

My friend has that camera and all i can say is that is quite nice camera. Only thing i disliked about it is that is quite heavy :p

MB-D200 is a must from what i know about its battery eating habits.

Wouldnt mind a D200, but think my next jump with be to a D2Xs.

One spare battery should be enough, assuming you can recharge at the end of a day's shooting. I got a cheapo ebay special and I can't see any real difference between it and the incredibly pricey official batteries.

It's arrived:)

Although, as no-one was in, Citylink left it on the back doorstep, in the snow....I can't really rant on at the shop I bought it from, but Citylink are going to get a roasting!

Got a 4GB ExtremeIII card on the way, to add to my 2GB version, but from first looks, there's a lot more to learn about than my D80. Plenty of time to play!!!

You 'never received it'...

Leave it 5 days or so, ring them and say "I'm still waiting on a package to be delivered? Was meant to be here around Friday?" They wont have you're signature...

They'll send you another, and I'll take the one you just got for £200? Sound good?

:p
