D3DOverrider - D3D Triple Buffering Application

Used this for years (since Deadspace on PC came with horrible mouse lag when using in game Vsync), and it's one of the best apps ever, I use it for everything now, I never bother using in game Vsync or driver level Vsync any more.

thx god for this brill littlr programe,i had nothing but problems since moving to gtx480 sli,so much so i jst disabled sli and was on the verge off selling one of the cards as i was getting a lot of monitor ghosting and the game felt really jerky, someone told me to try it and honest to god i dont have any chosting now and the game feels a lot smoother,i had this problem for 9months and tryed everthing to fix it but nothing worked,so i highly recomemd this programe

Thread bump:

I use this wee application, but have recently did a clean install of Windows 7 (64bit) and cannot get it to run. I click to launch it and I get a spinning reticule, but nothing happens. The GUI doesn't show up, nor does the wee X icon show up in the system tray. A process appears in the task manager, but it is useless without being able to load up the UI and change settings etc for various profiles.

Has anyone had similar experience and found a solution?

What video card are you using? Why are you trying to use an application that hasn't been supported for many years?

this is what a volunteer moderator told me on a steam thread i started.

i use d3doverrider on my 32bit vista set-up and it works fine.
in other words, i hear the 'ping' sound when it recognizes a game it can work with.

because i have recently bought metro 2033 redux, which is 64bit only, i wanted to try it out with d3doverrider on my 64bit hd.

problem is, it doesn't work.

no 'ping' sound before i launch the game.

i'm using:

d3doverrider 2.0.1.

windows 7 professional.

i'm not sure if the game is opengl or not.
if it is, then d3doverrider will not work with it anyway, only directx apparently.

does it work with 64bit?
i've read threads where it is said it doesn't, then others say it works with windows 8?

can anyone shed some light on this?

after further trawling through the net, i can verify that d3doverrider does not work on 64bit systems.

is there an alternative to d3d that can force triple buffering on directx titles running on a 64bit os?

excellent,

while i was searching, i did see that, but left it, as i assumed it would only be compatible with amd/radeon cards.

right, i shall download this and try it out with metro 2033 redux and see how it goes.

cheers shankly.

unfortunately i cannot launch stalker cop via steam using radeonpro.

i have no idea why.

steam tells me the game needs to be shut down before i try to shut down steam, but the game clearly isn't running.

created a profile for the game on steam
pointed to the main exe in the steamapps folder
launcher - steam/impulse/origin

radeonpro is sitting there in my system tray

i've tried googling but nothing i can find helps.

Make sure in settings 64bit is enabled, then bottom right see 32bit click it twice till you see 32/64bit

i must apologise shankly,

i was sure that i wrote i was testing radeonpro on my vista 32 set-up first.
that sentence must have got deleted when i was editing my post.

eitherway, i'm using the 32bit exe as it's displayed in the bottom right corner.

i've just tried it with a non-steam title, and the same applies - no results from setting vs/tb on.

when i launch it, i receive the following message:

warning amd adl library could not be initialized

i have googled this, but not found anything i understood.
