Hi,

I recently bought a Alpha Cool Single D5 pump, when I tried to switch
the speed from 2 to 5 the "plastic speed changer" snapped. I've sent
it back to where I purchased it and should be receiving a replacement
within the next two or three days. I was hoping someone who owns one
of these pumps could give me some insight on how to change the speeds
as I don't want to break the new one.

I used a perfect fitting flat head screwdriver and turned it clockwise, it
seemed stiff so I added extra force and it snapped.

Sounds like you just got a dodgy unit mate, I use a flathead and have no problems whatsoever.

both of my d5's (one alphacool, one laing) had that crappy bit of plastic snap.

just get a small screwdriver in there to change the potentiometer

laing make all D5s

a d5 with a different name on there is exactly that.

someone put their sticker on it.

a d5 is a d5
