Well basically my D900 has just lately lost all the battery life on it, it lasts like 2 hours from a full charge. What would be the best way to determine whether its the phone draining the battery due to a malfunction or the battery being knackered?

I can get a replacement phone but I have to change my number for some stupid reason and I'll have to put all my contacts on my new phone. So I don't really wanna do that.

You'd be best to just buy a cheap battery of ebay and give that a go. At least then you'll know if it's the battery or the phone. I've noticed that my D900 is getting much worse with battery life. I'm getting about 1.5 days out of it with very little use.

why would you need to change number? regardless of if it's on contract or pay as you go, if the phone is under 1 year old, you are covered by the manufacturers warrenty. so if you are having problems then just taking back to the shop you got it from and tell them to sort it out.

and as it's to do with the battery, they can't say it was caused by you so there is no reason that your phone cannot be repaired or replaced without any changing of phone number, etc.

note: make sure you backup all your contacts etc from the phone before you take it to them.

feel free to ask me for more info if u need help getting them to co-operate.

I was arguing with the bloke at the shop for about half an hour, I have to change my number and get an entirely new phone if I want it sorted.

I'd love a new phone, but I don't want the hassle.
